Caribbean Chemicals & Agencies Ltd is the leading supplier of agricultural inputs in the English speaking Caribbean. The Company was founded by Joseph Pires Sr and his wife Angelica Pires.
Caribbean Chemicals began in the humble home of the Pires’ on December 29 1966 in upper St. Anns, Trinidad. In March 1967 the company opened its first retail outlet on 57 Abercomby Street, Port – of- Spain. As the business grew, the company moved to several locations; Charlotte Street, Nelson Street, El Socorro Main Road, Cyrus Road and is today located at 24 Garden Road Aranguez, which serves as its flagship office.
The company represents a number of major brands in the agricultural sector including: Agri-Gro, Agrocare, BASF, Bayer, Elixir, ExcelAg, Jacto, Miller Chemical, Seminis, Metzer, SanFu, Namdhai, Sumitomo and Omex Agrifluids.
Caribbean Chemicals boasts of its strong relationship with farmers and stakeholders in the various territories. The success of the company is attributed to growing and maintaining these relationships which have served as its founding principle.
